Extra toilet facilities were required around the large golf club site. The client brief was as follows; 2 M and F toilet blocks, adaptable to unserviced locations, to blend in with topography and landscape (contextual design), must be secure out of hours.
The challenge was inherent in the site conditions; one site was level and the other had a significant slope. Above the slab both facilities were identical while the sloping site was managed with a floating slab on piles. A steel frame was employed for both buildings together with a lockable timber-slatted breezeway washing area.
